Fashion Profiles

Girls, if you are always on the go (headless chicken spring to mind?) then take a look at this look that I’ve put together. I believe a trendy rucksack is a must-have on the days where you dash here, there, and everywhere. The Kurt Geiger 'Dash' bag reminds me a little of Mary Poppins. You will definitely have plenty of room for your spare pair of shoes, your umbrella, and let's not forget your make up!

So, if you have lots in common with 'Dashing Daisy' and love to carry out your look from dawn to dusk then here are some of my favourite pieces...

Jumpsuit- ASOS

Evening Shoes -  'Yasmin' Kurt Geiger

Or, perhaps you're a bit of a 'Sophisticated Samantha' oozing with elegance? If so this look is the one for you...

Okay, so you might need some inspiration for the perfect date look? I can't say I'm an expert in this whole dating look BUT I am confident if you wear something like this there could well be a second date!!
I can't leave the lonely singletons out (as I am one myself) So I will work on a 'Lonely Leona' look including the very best onsies, slippers and hot water bottles! Be excited - The best look is yet to come!

I hope I have inspired you with some styling and shopping decisions. Payday is next week so why not spoil yourself - I'm pretty sure you deserve to!

Have a great weekend,

Lots of Love,

Kurt Geiger Wedges

Let the wedges do the walking!

If you are looking for a statement wedge, then look no further. These Kurt Geiger wedges will have people drooling with envy. The eye popping colours together with the sport luxe approach will not only make you centre of attention BUT will ensure that you are faster than the rest (if you're a pro in 6 inch heels that is).

Women, wear wedges and go wild - it's as simple as that!

I believe the moment you slip your toes into these striking shoes you will instantly feel like Wonder Woman! So revamp your house into a runway, pretend the high street is the red carpet; but more importantly, make Jessica Ennis proud by releasing your inner sporty Goddess!
It's kind of obvious that the girl wearing the wonderful wedges will win the race, right?

Whether you are looking for a platform wedge, a trainer wedge, a espadrille wedge, or even a pretty pink wedge; then I insist you head over to www.kurtgeiger.com because wedges with the WOW factor are waiting to be worn!

'This season, Kurt Geiger ditches formality for effortless elegance and casual glamour for the girl on the go'.

Here, I present you with a selection of
Kurt Geiger's finest wedges:

GO GIRL £180

GO GIRL - £180

FASTER FASTER - £220

(hhhhhmm I'm confident I'll win in these!)

FIFTEEN LOVE - £195
DEUCE - £120
KEATES - £120

I would LOVE to know what your favourite pair is?

Anyway, after many traumatising visions of myself doing the 100m hurdles in the 'Race You' wedges, I've decided it's time for sleep! I suppose practise does make perfect? Any excuse for a new pair of shoes hey!

Night all,

'So Stepford'

I was browsing through my photos on my Mac last night; not only did it alarm me of how many photos I hoard, but it also made me want to share a few of them with you. As I have only recently started blogging I have missed out on a thousand blog opportunities, therefore I think it's only right that I squeeze in a few 'ancient' blogs!

Lets start with a university project...

The main part of the brief involved choosing a fashion brand and creating a new advertising campaign. We had to research Film Noir and Alfred Hitchcock for inspiration, however I liked how we had the freedom to choose any other film which inspired us.

The brand I selected: Kurt Geiger

The film I was inspired by: The Stepford Wives

Inspiration...

Possible props...

and here are some of my final magazine spreads...

I shoot these photographs in my Nan's garden. She loved helping me prep and it was like I had my very own Stepford Wife assisting me!

When we were gasping for a cuppa my Stepford Wife Nan got the kettle straight on and filled the teapot up!

The legs belong to my Mother...fingers crossed I have inherited her 'leg genes' so I TOO can have legs like this in my forties!

Looking back at my photographs, I just wish at the time I had a larger collection of KG shoes to play around with. After all, Kurt Geiger is a shoe retailer and the grey pair I have used are a tad dull (not my idea of attention grabbing). Perhaps it's time I borrow my Mothers legs again, ask my Nan if she is up for some more assistant work, and re shoot using my updated collection of KG shoes!

If you haven't already spent all of your pennies in the January sales, then I insist you check out the Kurt Geiger sale HERE

Cure those January blues in style!

Anyway it's time I head to the kitchen and start baking!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Today I'm wearing...

So I'm off to LoNdOn today and I'm rather excited as I haven't visited since the end of October. Believe it or not I have strangely missed the sweaty, claustrophobic tubes! With Christmas approaching in just a couple of days I can only imagine I will be getting pushed and shoved like there is no tomorrow (last minute shoppers please go easy on me).

So despite the fact it's Winter I've decided to wear minimal layers - an attempt to reduce the hot flushes on the tube!

Therefore...a tee it is!

ASOS Peace/Love printed tee £11
My recent purchase...what an absolute bargain! At just £11 I simply couldn't resist! I'm sure the words 'LOVE' and 'PEACE' will help brighten plenty of moods throughout my day - especially the tense last minute shoppers!

I'm a sucker for leggings! My matte wetlook ones are so comfortable you will rarely see me leave the house without them glued to my legs (they do get washed, I promise). So back on the wetlooks go...

TOPSHOP Panelled Matte Wetlook Leggings £22

I'm also a sucker for hats. When you place a beautiful hat on your head I feel it completes your look perfectly. Now, I fell in love with a couple of hats on ASOS but I found it rather challenging only adding one to my basket. I decided not to be greedy and go for the first one which caught my eye. We all love a bit of leather don't we? So into the basket the leather went. I will admit this is not my usual type of hat and perhaps my Rihanna obsession has gone a little bit too far?

ASOS Leather cap £24

The question 'Are you a Gangsta' is probably the most common right now...you've got to trust me on this one, I'm not! I just LOVE leather, I LOVE hats so how could I not LOVE this?

I know Rihanna would be a proud Mumma!

SO...all very black at the moment and I am fully aware I am not attending a funeral, so lets JaZz this outfit up a little...

I HeArT gold jewellery!
Alice, one of my ReAlLy close friends, bought me a beautiful gold cross pendant necklace. It's one of my favourite pieces of jewellery, so on that goes...

Accessorize cross pendant

My graffiti nails are still a little dark but hey ho it's an added print...

My non christmasy graffiti nails

I slip my feet into my wine coloured booties to add some colour...

Miss KG 'Fletcher' boots SALE £39
These boots actually do not look as red in real life, I personally would describe them as a 'wine' colour (or perhaps I've just got wine on the mind).

and away we go...

London here we come

Oh surprise, surprise it's raining!
I will add my studded leather jacket to this look and I'll have a large umbrella to reduce the chance of looking like a complete drowned rat!

Have a fabulous festive day everyone!

Lets start with a brief introduction...

I LOVE capturing photographs so to sum myself up lets use some imagery! After all, who likes a boring intro? Pressure

"Do NOT trip Kirsty, I repeat do NOT trip"
November 19th 2012 I graduated from Solent University with a First Class Honours in BA Fashion With Photography – the long nights certainly paid off! I think I was actually more chuffed with the fact I managed to make it to the other side of the stage without stacking it rather than the degree itself!

I am now applying the skills, knowledge and experiences that I acquired into the cRazY wOrLD oF FAshiON! Oh so exciting!! I shall explain in more depth in 2013, lets hope next year will be full of all things beautiful...

‘Do what you love, love what you do’
Trying my hardest to work the Harry Potter cloak...

Lets hope my wish comes true!

Saying I have a slight obsession with food is an understatement! I still haven’t figured out which I prefer; the food related dreams, the baking sessions, the instagramming part, or the actual indulging itself? Having said that, I’m now 99.9% certain that my last point is definitely my favourite! My latest craze is CAKEPOPS! I will show you a sneak peak of my beautiful little creations, however it would be rude if I didn’t treat you to an ENTIRE blog post on CAKEPOPS! I’m not sure about you, but my mouth is watering so swiftly moving on...

Kirsty's Kalorific Kakepops

BeAuTiFuL SHoeS TaKe YOU to BEaUtiFuL PlAcEs...

I have worked for Kurt Geiger – Europe’s leading luxury shoe and accessory retailer for the past two and a half years. Sorry, there really was no need for the added description there. It's obvious Geiger = Luxury! I do spend the majority of my wages on shoes but I’m pretty sure I’m no different to any other KG girl?! (Pipe down to those of you who can resist the temptation).

Unwrap KG this Christmas

So I’m just an ordinary girl, I LOVE shoes, I LOVE fashion, I LOVE food, I LOVE working hard, I LOVE learning, I LOVE creativeness, I LOVE independence, I LOVE ideas, I LOVE photographs, I LOVE Britain.

On top of all the above LOVES my final point is that my family and friends mean the world to me.  I’m sure you will hear a lot about these precious people as they really are a BIG part of my life.

First blog post complete – Hope there wasn't too many yawns floating about!
 Night all.
